Delaware Valley Ski Patrol


Bike Patrol

The Bike Patrol is patrolling special events at the Washington Crossing State Park (NJ) and is also patrolling the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park canal path section from Frenchtown to Scudders Falls Bridge.  This is a very informal patrol with no sign-in requirements.  The New Jersey State Park Police appreciate any time members of the Bike Patrol are available to volunteer!  Please see below for more information:

 

  1. ALL National Ski Patrollers are welcome to join the Bike Patrol!  You can be from any patrol, but you must have your NSP membership, OEC, and CPR cards current!
  2. Purchase Shirt through Roger Copt
  3. Bike Helmet any color, Mandatory
  4. Black Bike Shorts or Black Bike Pants, weather dictated
  5. Black Gloves, Optional
  6. Patrol Pack with first-aid supplies (see recommended supplies)
  7. Mountain Bike!
  8. Completed State Park Service Volunteer Application
  9. Once you have signed up for the Bike Patrol through Roger Copt, please print the Parking Information Card for your vehicle's dashboard.  You can print this on either regular paper or a large index card. 
  10. Sign in and sign out by calling the Park Police.  The telephone number is listed on the bottom of the Parking Information Card.
  11. IMPORTANT!  Print the Standard Operating Procedures for more detailed information!

A calendar of specific events for the Bike Patrol is posted on this website's Calendar Page, but patrollers can patrol at any time that their schedules permit (not just the events).
