The NSP (National Ski Patrol) is the primary provider of medical educational programs for the patrollers who care for the snowsports public.  OEC (Outdoor Emergency Care) technicians are trained to provide emergency care for environmental illnesses and injuries, spinal injuries, and ski/snowboard and other outdoor injuries.

The DVSP Bike Patrol is patrolling special events at the Washington Crossing State Park (NJ) and is also patrolling the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park canal path section from Frenchtown to Scudders Falls Bridge.  This is a very informal patrol with no sign-in requirements.

The Delaware Valley Ski Patrol (DVSP) was first established as the Belle Mountain Alpine Ski Patrol in 1965.  Organized through the National Ski Patrol (NSP), Belle Mountain Patrollers conducted first aid training (WEC & OEC) and Alpine Ski patrolling until Belle Mountain's closing in 1998.
